Minority Health and Safety section

Members of the Minority Health and Safety section are devoted to advocating for minority health in underserved and under-resourced communities. They aim to identify access barriers to quality healthcare for minorities and increase awareness of the factors that disproportionately impact the health of minority populations. The section developed a strategic plan to address these issues and continually reviews it to assess progress of the outlined goals.

Leadership development is also a core value of this group. The section encourages inclusion of all minorities in key roles within APIC and also promotes speakers who address minority health and safety issues.
