Welcome to your portal to your online classes! Through this page you can access your three online classes:

Class 1: Continuing the Care: Infection Prevention in Long-Term Care

This class has five modules (listed below). Each covers a different aspect of infection prevention in a long-term care setting.

To access the content:

  • Click one of the links below.
  • On the page that follows, scroll down to the bottom and select "Add to Cart."
  • On the next screen, click "Check Out."
  • You are now given access to that segment. (Look for a confirmation email. If you don't receive one within a few hours, check your spam filter.)

What do you do with the information?

  • In your class's Haiku discussion board, we will post discussion questions related to each segment. Simply go there and participate!

Class 2: Microbiology 101

Step 1: Look at the top of the page and click the “Sign in” button. Use the following information that you received in a separate email from APIC:

- APIC Username

- APIC Password

Step 2: You should now see a "Quick Links" box at the top of the page. (If you don't, just click the green triangle next to the Search box.) Inside the Quick Links box, click "Return to Courses."

Step 3: In the new window, you should see a single course called "APIC Long Term Care Certificate - Indiana CAC." Click the "Launch" button to open the class.

Step 4: On the next screen you will see seven modules for Microbiology and one for Disinfection and Sterilization. Simply click Launch for each one, watch the content and complete all activities.

Class 3: Disinfection & Sterilization

Same instructions as for accessing Microbiology 101.
