Do you know a team of prevention leaders in the U.S. acute care community who have achieved wide-scale reductions and progress toward the elimination of targeted healthcare-associated infections (HAIs)? APIC and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) are partnering with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to award the 2014 Partnership in Prevention Award. The award was established to highlight and promote the work of a multidisciplinary team at one U.S. hospital that has achieved sustainable improvements based on the concepts of the “National Action Plan to Prevent Healthcare-Associated Infections: Roadmap to Elimination” and is helping to achieve the goals outlined in the HHS Partnership for Patients.
We invite you to nominate a team for this award. Please contact the HHS/APIC/SHEA Awards team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. The application deadline is August 29, 2014.
