Jacie is currently the manager of infection prevention at Mission Health System in Asheville, North Carolina and a senior consultant with Safety Management Services.
Jacie started her career as an epidemiologist in the public health system in 2002 and has worked in hospitals in infection prevention over the last six years. Her passion for infection prevention is evident in her dedication to APIC and the hospitals she has served. She served on the APIC Emergency Preparedness Committee for three years went on to become chair of the committee. During her time on this committee she helped publish numerous infection prevention guides for disasters, a position paper regarding the re-use of respirators in disasters, as well as articles in the American Journal of Infection Control. Jacie has presented an APIC webinar on infection prevention in alternate care sites and has as part of the APIC Emergency Preparedness Committee, consulted with the APIC constituency from Japan after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
Jacie is passionate about patient safety, antibiotic stewardship, and emergency preparedness.
