Reminder: August 15 deadline for CMS quality reporting programs

Please remember that August 15 is the deadline for National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reporting for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) quality reporting programs in the following care settings:

Acute care hospitals – 2017 Quarter 1 data for:

•CLABSI – ICU, NICU, adult and pediatric medical, surgical, and medical/surgical wards

•CAUTI – ICU, adult and pediatric medical, surgical, and medical/surgical wards

•SSI – Inpatient colon and abdominal hysterectomy

•MRSA Bacteremia LabID events – facility-wide inpatient healthcare onset and community onset, emergency department and 24-hour observation locations

•C. difficile LabID events – facility-wide inpatient healthcare onset and community onset, emergency department and 24-hour observation locations

Inpatient rehabilitation facilities (including both free-standing hospitals and IRFs located within affiliated acute care/critical access hospitals) – 2017 Quarter 1 data for:

•CAUTI – all bedded inpatient locations

•MRSA Bacteremia LabID events – all healthcare onset and community onset

•C. difficile LabID events -- all healthcare onset and community onset

Long-term acute care facilities – 2017 Quarter 1 data for:

•CLABSI – all bedded inpatient locations

•CAUTI – all bedded inpatient locations

•MRSA Bacteremia LabID Events – facility-wide inpatient healthcare onset and community onset

•C. difficile LabID events -- facility-wide inpatient healthcare onset and community onset

•Ventilator-Associated Events (VAE) – all bedded inpatient locations

PPS-exempt cancer hospitals – 2017 Quarter 1 data for:

•CLABSI – all bedded inpatient care locations

•CAUTI – all bedded inpatient care locations

•SSI – inpatient colon and abdominal hysterectomy

•MRSA Bacteremia LabID events – all healthcare onset and community onset

•C. difficile LabID events -- all healthcare onset and community onset
