CMS issues non-compliance letters for IRF, LTCH, and SNF

07/26/2017

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has sent non-compliance letters to skilled nursing facilities (SNF), inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRF), and long-term acute care hospitals (LTCH) that have not met reporting requirements for the Quality Reporting Programs for those care settings. Notifications were sent from CMS via the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and placed into providers Quality Improvement and Evaluation Systems (QIES) - Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reporting (CASPER) system. Facilities that received notifications and would like to request a reconsideration may follow instructions in the SNF Quality Reporting Reconsideration and Exception & the  Extension, IRF Quality Reporting Reconsideration and Exception & Extension, and LTCH Quality Reporting Reconsideration and Exception & Extension webpages.
