FDA, CDC, and CMS form Tri-Agency Task Force

The FDA, CDC, and CMS launched the Tri-Agency Task Force for Emergency Diagnostics to advance rapid development and deployment of diagnostic tests in clinical and public health laboratories during public health emergencies. The three agencies each play a critical role in emergency response, including identifying threats, regulating medical products, and providing oversight for laboratories. The task force will help the agencies better collaborate to prepare for, and respond to, public health threats.
