Linda Miller has been a registered nurse since 1984 and has worked in the infection control field for 19 years. She currently serves as the Director of Infection Prevention, Employee Health and Clinical Education at Walnut Hill Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.  She has been certified in Infection Prevention & Control since 2000 and is currently working on her BSN/MS in Infection Prevention through American Sentinel University. Linda is also currently working through APIC Consulting Services to provide infection prevention education and program development to a system of 13 ASC’s in the North Texas area.

Linda is very involved with her local APIC Chapter and has served the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter in many capacities including Membership Director, Board Member, and President. She is a past member of the National APIC Education Committee and has served as a national faculty member for EPI courses and as a state faculty member for the Texas Healthcare Network public reporting training through APIC Consulting Services since 2006. She served as section editor for 2009 APIC Text, 3rd edition and peer reviews and develops content for other educational programs for CiNet Healthcare Learning. Linda was the recipient of an APIC Chapter Leadership Award in 2010 and was named Who’s Who in Infection Prevention by “Infection Control Today” magazine in 2011. She has presented multiple abstracts and programs at annual APIC and SHEA conferences, APIC chapter conferences, TSICP, EPIC and Premier.
