Lynn Fine has been involved in Infection Prevention for 15 years and is currently an Infection Preventionist at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, a Masters of Public Health, and a PhD in Immunology. She is board certified in Infection Control and was just recently made a Fellow of APIC in 2016.

Lynn is an active APIC member and has served in many capacities at the local and national levels. Lynn has served on National APIC’s Education and Professional Development Committee, and currently serves on APIC’s Practice Resource Education Panel.  She has also served on CBIC’s test subcommittee. Lynn was also a section editor for the APIC Text published in 2014, and authored a chapter in APIC’s “The Infection Preventionist’s Guide to the Laboratory.”  She is currently a faculty member for APIC’s Epi 101 and CIC Preparation Courses. Lynn has also served on the Board of Directors for the Rochester/Finger Lakes APIC chapter and has lectured on the local level. She particularly enjoys mentoring those new to the Infection Prevention field.
