APIC 2018 Annual Conference takes place June 13-15 in Minneapolis
 

Nearly 5,000 healthcare professionals focused on infection prevention will gather in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 13-15, for the 45th Annual Conference of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) to learn about the latest science, technologies, and best practices for creating a safer world through prevention of infection.

WHAT: More than 100 education sessions organized along 12 tracks of the most critical infection prevention topics of today, including:                                                                                                               

Alicia Cole, actress and one of the nation’s leading voices in patient safety, will share how her experience with a healthcare-associated infection spurred her commitment to improving healthcare quality, delivery of care, and protection of patients during the Opening Plenary on Wednesday, June 13 at 8:30 AM CT.

Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, will discuss the urgent need to improve science and medical communication to address the widening concern of neglected tropical diseases during the Thursday Plenary on June 14 at 8:30 AM CT.
