Dorine Berriel-Cass has worked in infection prevention and control for over 26 years and is currently the director of infection prevention for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI.  She oversees the infection prevention program for a 1040 bed medical center and 8 regional hospitals.  Her primary infection control experience has been in the acute care setting.  Dorine has been a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) since 1992 and has served locally through APIC-Great Lakes as secretary, nominations chair, program committee, Bio-preparedness chair and chapter president.  She has also been a member of the Michigan Society for Infection Prevention and Control since 1992 and has served as program chair. Dorine has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Detroit and a Master of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration from Siena Heights University. She has been certified in infection prevention and control since 1994.  She has also earned the Fellow of APIC designation.
