Kathleen (Kate) Gase is currently the group manager of clinical epidemiology for BJC HealthCare, a 15-facility healthcare system serving the Greater St. Louis, mid-Missouri, and Illinois regions. Kate’s day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating the operational work of the infection prevention, surgical quality improvement, and evidence-based care teams to improve patient outcomes. She earned her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis and began her infection prevention career at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). Kate is certified in infection prevention and control (CIC) and has earned her Masters in Public Health degree at Hunter College while working at MSKCC. She has also earned the Fellow of APIC designation.
