The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) released a web-based toolkit, Improving Your Access to Electronic Health Records (EHRs) During Outbreaks of Healthcare-associated Infections. The toolkit is designed to help health agencies improve information exchange with healthcare facilities for outbreak investigation. Developed in partnership with CDC and the Keystone Policy Center, the toolkit reflects the experiences and perspectives of public health stakeholders, and explores concepts such as authority, capacity, security, privacy, interoperability, and relationship sustainability.
