New CMS resource for implementing emergency preparedness rule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published a helpful resource on implementation of its final rule on Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers. The rule requires healthcare providers to establish consistent emergency preparedness requirements, increase patient safety during emergencies, and establish a more coordinated response to natural and human-caused disasters. “CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule: Resources at Your Fingertips” condenses information and resources to help healthcare facilities implement the rule.
