Novel Coronavirus Spreads Beyond China

The outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (nCoV-2019) first identified in Wuhan, China has now also been confirmed in Thailand, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. The U.S. case was diagnosed in Washington State in a traveler from Wuhan. Although the risk to the American public is currently deemed to be low, CDC is taking proactive preparedness precautions, including implementing enhanced screening at airports in New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Atlanta (ATL), and Chicago (ORD).
