Dr. Harte is currently President of Cleveland Clinic Akron General and the recipient of the 2019 APIC Healthcare Administrator Award, having been nominated for his dedication in championing infection prevention and control initiatives. Dr. Harte is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He is an accomplished author and presenter. In addition, he has received numerous honors and awards acknowledging his many accomplishments in, and contributions to, the medical field.
As an external director on the APIC Board of Directors, Dr. Harte’s role and experience as an administrator brings the desired attributes, complementary knowledge, business, finance, leadership and strategy skills, and relationship building sought after for this position.
Dr. Harte received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University. He is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
