Cleaning, Disinfection, and Sterilization Conference

October 8th – 9th, 2020 | Virtual Conference

The presence of bacteria, viruses, and fungi can lead to infections and outbreaks in critical spaces in numerous healthcare settings. These organisms are ever evolving, sometimes antibiotic resistant, which increases the challenge of preventing infections. To eradicate these infections infection preventionists (IPs) work across their organization and to minimize contamination risks and ensure that medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and reprocessed.

Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization are essential elements of infection prevention and control (IPC) programs in all health care settings and are critical in preventing the spread of harmful microorganisms. Microorganisms (i.e., bacteria, fungi, viruses) are present throughout our environment and can cause infection. The environment can serve as a breeding ground for these organisms if not properly cleaned, disinfected and sterilized which is one of the many reasons these topics are of utmost importance to infection preventionists as this helps to decrease or prevent the spread of these organisms to your patients.

This dynamic and engaging event was designed for IPs looking to advance their career and gain knowledge in these three areas that are critical to being an effective partner in your facility. Learn, grow, and network—all in a condensed, 2-day format. Our educational sessions will increase your fundamental knowledge and provide practical skills you need to protect patients in your facility.

Registration will open July 15th
