Event Description
APIC and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services are hosting a 3-day Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) 101 training course that will discuss infection prevention challenges experienced by different types of ASCs (e.g., pain care, general surgery, orthopedic, plastic, etc.). The course will teach best practices for instrument reprocessing and healthcare-associated infection surveillance. The course will also cover National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) definitions for New Hampshire reportable measures, general infection surveillance, post-discharge surveillance, and outbreak situations. This is one of APIC’s premier courses, which has been delivered by experienced infection preventionists for years.
Lunch and snacks will be served at no charge to participants.
