Event Description
APIC and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services are hosting a Train-the-Trainer Infectious Disease Readiness and Patient Transport course taught in three parts: 1) continuing education regarding infectious disease readiness and general infection control and prevention in this setting, 2) table top exercise with local infection preventionists, and 3) hands-on personal-protective equipment (PPE) training.
Lunch and snacks will be served at no charge to participants.
Course Agenda
Note: Much of this course is comprised of hands-on donning and doffing exercises. To participate in this course, please bring the personal-protective equipment items listed below. You don’t need to bring all of these items, but you should bring the items that you have and use so you can participate in the exercises.
- N-95 mask
- long surgical gown
- booties
- apron
- face shield
- surgical hoods
- bouffant (OR) caps
- and wear whatever shoes you wear at work
