The most dire of COVID-19 symptoms disproportionately affect older adults and those with pre-existing conditions. Infection preventionists (IPs) working in long-term care (LTC) facilities, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, need information and support to combat this deadly virus and keep patients safe. APIC is pleased to provide these curated resources for those working in Long-Term Care.

Quick Assessment Forms – CDC and APIC partnership
This IPC resource provides easy, ready-to-use, quick assessment forms that are collated around common themes, environments, or patient populations. These assessments are easily downloaded and take the form of 3-8 questions for each observation or patient in order to facilitate a quick check.
The nineteen quick observation tools (QUOTS) are the result of a partnership between CDC and APIC in 2016 following the lessons learned during the global health crisis and U.S. healthcare challenges of Ebola in 2014.
