New “Do’s and Don’ts” of gloves flier

APIC added another flier to it’s “Do’s and Don’ts” infographic series with its latest: Do’s and Don’ts for wearing gloves in healthcare settings. There are many types of gloves used in healthcare settings. APIC has developed this flier to help healthcare providers learn the proper ways and uses for this personal protective equipment. We encourage you to download these free fliers and share them with your healthcare facilities. Download this infographic.

In November 2015, APIC created two new fliers on the “Do’s and Don’ts” for wearing N95 respirators and procedure masks. These resources were developed by APIC’s Communications and Practice Guidance Committees with input from the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare (AOHP), and the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). Please share these educational fliers with healthcare professionals in your organizations. Thank you to infection preventionist, Mary McFadden, RN, MHA, CIC, CHS, and the nursing educators from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for participating in the photo shoot.
