Objective and Scope

Our goal with the Research Toolkit is to help you elevate and transform your everyday work into a journey that develops your essential research competencies (benefiting you), generates publishable new knowledge that is shared with the rest of the IP and healthcare community (benefiting and promoting your organization), and advances the science of infection prevention to improve patient care (benefiting the field). In this toolkit, we provide you with a step-by-step process to become a competent IP researcher. We hope that using this toolkit will help you conduct a research project, and we encourage you to submit a research-based abstract for a poster presentation either to APIC or another professional group (AORN, ASM, SHEA, etc.).

As in all things unknown, we need your input. Please share your comments with us at crpi@apic.org. We’ll be tracking and trending the data, and you can help us make this toolkit better!
